Add WP to databases

Reported by: AlexanderPico Owned by: AlexanderPico
Milestone: milestone_1.0 Component: Derby ensembl
Version: 1.0 Severity: feature

Description

By adding WikiPathways? to BridgeDb? we open up mapping options to bridgedb tools, plus the potential to make datanodes on pathways that represent other pathways... interesting.

The database should map from Ensembl to WPIDs for genes, and a particular metabolite source to WPIDs for metabolites (CAS or PubChem??)

After discussion, it seems there are better options:

1. Adapt wikipathways web service to conform to bridgerest idmapper 2. Add a new idmapper to work with current wikipathways web service

This service would then be added to the stack of bridgedb datasources used at wikipathways.
